This is the first time that any foreigner is participating in Nach Baliye and Alexx’s participation has already begun to ruffle a few feathers. Despite being an American, Alexx is working hard during rehearsals. Alexx doesn’t understand Hindi and so Sweta teaches him how to pronounce the Hindi words.

And it definitely looks like his hard work has paid off as he performed very well on the first episode. And that has given rise to some catty remarks on set. Somebody commented that “he is not an original firang and if you wash him properly his original colour will be like us (wheatish).”

This obviously annoyed Sweta who retorted and invited everyone to their rehearsals. “You just come and watch our rehearsals, from last one month he is trying hard to learn pronunciation of the song on which we have performed.”

“This translation paper is also proof of it… the paper on which I had written everything is in such a bad condition because of sticking it so many times here and there. Whenever we travel anywhere the car or anywhere as well I ask him to pronounce words. He is working very hard. And all this he is doing for me and his love and affection towards me.”

In the very first episode Jodi number 1 Sweta and Alexx received good comments and scored 22 marks.
